I Surrender Dear plot
Patty Nelson, who goes by the name Patty Hart, auditions and gets the job as a band singer with Al Tyler's orchestra. Al later falls in love with her and she with him. Back in Los Angeles, her disc jockey father objects to her career choice. At a party, Al announces that he is leaving the band and going to Hollywood to replace a disc jockey named Russ Nelson, who is too old and out of touch with the current audience. However, Al does not know that the man is Patty's father.
