Affirm Films is part of Sony and produced a film that encourages, uplifts, challenges and entertains through films that move and inspire viewers. A SF horror film in which a group of teenagers try to survive after aliens attack anyone who thinks they are babbling anything of a religious nature. The hidden meaning? The aliens target believers because they know unbelievers are easily led to the slaughter. Inspirational? Well no. Funny? No, the film takes itself way too seriously for that. Christian conservative nonsense then? Yes, but in any case made by people who understand their profession. That does give this film an extra star, but I can't say I'm happy with it. Clearly does NOT taste like more. Affirm Films certainly makes you shudder, but not frightened.

mwa.

Not a great movie, but not a bad movie either. The film actually starts quite quickly, so it is a shame that the film never picks up the pace in the first half hour of the film, where it was really fun.

Acting in general was still ok, but the actors are really let down by the bad script. As a result, the whining does not really come across and you cannot take it seriously anywhere due to the forced script and dialogues.

Effects are reasonable. Here and there there were still nice things, but when it really erupts it sometimes falls through the basket. Unfortunately, those things are mainly left out of the picture and the film suddenly wants to become a drama between the characters after the fun first half hour.

That is also the point where the film fails. The drama does not work, the actors are not strong enough for it. Moreover, the fact that every character has to be such an exaggerated type does not help and that some characters change personality in the chaos also comes out of the blue.

Lots of crying, lots of whining and serious looks, but nothing really works. It is mainly the chaos of the first half hour and the end that lift it to a 2.5*. It is incomprehensible that La Scala then half does not respond to it and goes into drama. If he had just left it at the disasters and chaos, this would have been more fun. Absolute.
