The Omen plot

"A new generation of terror"

On June 6 in Rome, US Ambassador Robert Thorn rushes to the hospital because his wife Katherine is about to give birth. Unfortunately, the baby dies. But in concert with the priest—and without Katherine's knowledge—another newborn baby who has lost its parents is renamed Robert and Katherine's infant son Damien. Everything goes well until he is five, except for the first visit to the church. But then a strange series of accidents begins that starts with the sitter's suicide. Robert is warned by a priest and a journalist that something strange is going on.

Another unnecessary remake. The whole has of course been translated to modern times, although you can now see the differences between 2006 and 2015. It has not been completely transferred one to one, but the additions and changes do not make the fantastic story any better. Not even the Final Destination-like accidents. That even looked very cheap. I can't think of any reason why I should choose this version over the original from 1976. The actors clearly don't feel like it. Only Postletwaithe and to a lesser extent Mia Farrow can count on a pass. Furthermore, it is easy to watch. No problem sitting through the film to the end, but that's about it.

Watched this remake and loved it. Seen the original in the distant past, but I can't remember much about it, so I won't compare.

I really liked Liev Schreiber and Mia Farrow in this film. Furthermore, there was a good pace in the film, he certainly did not get bored and the film looked fine.

This is a great remake. The original wasn't really special and this one isn't either.

It looks easy and there are a few 'funny' scenes, but that's about it.

Julia Stiles is actually too good for this nonsense, but she makes the film just that little bit better. So it's good that she's in it.
