Kat is at home without work. Her boyfriend Chris promises that he will support her with his income, but Kat wants to make her own way in the world. That is why she decides to take in tenant Jessie to make ends meet. Kat initially wants to make friends and also be a landlady, but soon realizes that Jessie is an enigma: she talks about devils and even has a different first name on her driver's license. After experiencing ominous paranormal events, Kat and Chris begin to suspect that Jessie may be a witch with a sinister agenda.
