Hantises plot

A young man loses his female companion during a journey. He is without money but an old man shelters him in his secluded house on the edge of the sea. This lonely man apparently lives in a tête à tête with himself. His alter ego haunts his mind and gradually takes possession of him. The young man decides to stay in the house for a while, but does he realize the consequences of his decision?
