"Remembering can be murder."
Horror writer and director Grafton Torn wakes up from a coma only to find that he suffers from amnesia. The doctor advises him to rest a lot and to meet the doctor's demand Grafton rents an old house on a lake. There he tries to regain his memory piece by piece with the help of medicines and a hypnotherapist. But nightmares haunt him. Nightmares mixing bits of his memory with the characters of his own horror movies. Worse yet... The nightmares take place while he is awake.
