Carly and Rina's relationship deteriorates after Carly decides to drop out of college and Rina loses her job as a lawyer. This forces them to move to a motel, a situation neither of them is happy about. To make matters worse, Rina has fallen into a depression and Carly has decided to use the remaining money to buy a camera for her profession. Shortly after, the planet is hit by a dangerous disease.
