Unbelievably cheap B-movie with laughably bad dialogues and an extremely bizarre plot. Bill Pullman acts very unconvincingly.

Hey, haven't we seen that already? Brain Dead wasn't that something by Henenlotter? Oh no, that was Brain Damage, a kind of cult classic by ... oh yes Peter Jackson Braindead without a space!

Well, with this Brain Dead we unfortunately finally fail. We echo here some The Tenant, Vanilla Sky, Interception but do so in a kind of Re-Animator-like setting.

Quite a few familiar names: Bill Pullman, Bill Paxton, Bud Cort, George Kennedy, but it all doesn't work, all a bit overacted, furthermore some slippery brains, skull lifting, paranoid situations, but all too clinical and if that doesn't get you into the story properly, it's just an hour and a half of a nineties B-movie that my brain hopefully won't take up too much space for. I therefore expect that I will have to reread this piece at the end of December, because I really have no idea anymore about the content of this film. Brain Dead? I saw that years ago, didn't I? Wasn't it from ... with that basket with that little brother or no that came after Bad Taste...

Saw this psychological thriller on the bluray of 101BlackLabel. A somewhat strange film where the themes paranoia and hallucinations are central. We follow Pullman who is trapped in his nightmare. Nothing is what it seems and you are constantly put on the wrong track. The execution is unfortunately somewhat less, I have seen them better in this area. Furthermore still a reasonable role of Paxton. The ending was found nice by the makers.
