Well-acted and sufficiently mysterious in its content, director Sheldon Wilson lets his visual skills fall flat in Believer. Several dream sequences still look unusual, but the film's atmospherics are rather sparse and ill-conceived. This makes the tension build very laboriously, despite a convincing soundtrack. Towards the end, it slowly begins to build, but just as quickly disappears below the horizon. The good thing is that Wilson makes a genuine effort this time to find an original, and to a certain extent he succeeds, but this doesn't change the fact that the first 75 minutes are rather tiresome. Ella Ballentine is excellent in the lead role, and the ending is effective, but the road to it is simply too tedious for a passing grade.

This one begins all twisted up, and is slowing showing up the knotted pieces to untie and piece back together. We've now been given an interesting twist to our story, I'm unaware of the implications of the Visions or Nightmares as of yet.

There seems to be some trauma and we definitely have some hidden and maybe even trauma that were unaware of at this point in the story. The film is giving off crazy eerie vibes, and the scenes hint at something possibly diabolical in the works.

The twist isn't very far off from the set up the film points at, and now we get to see just how far they are willing to take the story and give us something truly scary.

My mind officially blown by this film's playthrough, it's beautiful set up and continuous misleading of the viewer.
