The Banished plot
"Terror is a place."
When she learns that her father has died, Grace reluctantly agrees to go home to claim the body and his belongings. In the process, she goes in search of her brother David, whom she left behind several years ago. When she learns that he is part of a bad group and has gotten lost, she decides to hire her old geology teacher, Mr. Green, to lead her deep into the wilderness where her brother may be living. But the further she goes, the stranger things get, forcing her to face issues she would rather have left in the past.
