Midnight plot

"One woman was to die at midnight!...another woman was to kill at the same hour...why?"

Judge Edward Weldon stands by his decision to find guilty Ethel Saxon, who is suspected of murder. He even asks the crucial question during the session. On the night Ethel is put to death, tensions run high in the Weldon household. Edward believes that the law is the law and there is no room for leniency, even if it is a passion murder. Until his own daughter catches her boyfriend having a mistress that night.
