The Room plot

"There's a room inside your house. You don't know where it leads"

Since an enigmatic fall down the stairs, the mentally retarded Alex has been confined to a wheelchair. His abusive father and his distant, hysterical mother make his life hell. The only warmth comes from his sister Melinda, who has been caring for him for years. But Melinda is about to give birth and desperately wants to leave. At the height of the family crisis, a new door suddenly appears in the house. The family discovers that she is imprisoned. Every exit is blocked, the mysterious door appears to be the only option. One by one, they eventually enter the room and come face to face with their worst secrets...
