"Only monsters can kill monsters"
In the remote village of Newport's Valley, a young woman returns after her fiancé disappears in the nearby woods. She discovers that behind the peaceful facade of the settlement lies an ancient pact of sacrifice. The locals whisper about the Wrexsoul, a shape-shifting spirit born of colonial cruelty that still craves blood. When a group of hikers discovers a sealed cave and the innkeeper unearths cryptic diaries, the monster's presence erupts in violence. The woman reluctantly teams up with an outside monster hunter and the innkeeper's friend to stop the curse.
