Kothanodi plot

"A Wedding. A Re-birth. An Aquittal. A Murder."

Four folktales from Assam are reformed into a storyline about four mothers. Each of them has different obstacles to overcome. Senehi, a schizophrenic woman who detests her stepdaughter, plots to kill her when her husband is called abroad on business. Her husband, Devinath, meets a woman named Keteki who has given birth to an outenga (elephant apple), which rolls after her. Devinath decides to unravel the mystery of the outenga.
