Hakkenden plot

Takizawa Bakin, a popular writer from the Edo period, reveals to his friend, the artist Katsushika Hokusai, that he is preparing a story. It is about eight warriors, each wearing a jewel, who are brought together by fate to fight the curse of the Satomi family. Hokusai is immediately fascinated and visits Bakin regularly to become the rest of the story. However, when Bakin begins to lose his eyesight after many years, the completion of the grand story becomes doubtful.
