Hashti Tehran plot

Hashti is - in most traditional houses in Iran - an octagonal space for distribution and circulation to lead a person to the different parts of the house. These are the private (andarouni) and semi-public (birouni) spaces, reserved for reception from abroad and direct access to the provision of services. Based on the idea that Tehran itself represents a house and represents the inner circle of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
