Cremaster 1 plot
The first part of the Cremaster cycle (made after the fourth part) is a musical that makes the longing for the Busby Berkeley choreographies from the 1930s tangible. In a large football stadium, two zeppelins float while the cheerleaders do their dances. Each zeppelin has a sleek interior where voluptuous hostesses know how to handle grapes as well as vaseline. As the grapes fall from the zeppelin, the stadium shows and the zeppelin slowly merge into a dance full of sexual symbolism.
