Zmory plot
Before World War I, Poland did not exist as an independent state. In the part of Poland where Austria-Hungary rules, Mikolaj Srebrny grows up with his liberal father. Later, he has to live with his aunt and uncle, where he has to attend a strict school where the ecclesiastical and imperial values are pounded hard. Among the belittling of his narrow-minded teachers, he finds his only refuge in poetry.
