After her father's death, Hatsumi moves to a new neighborhood. It is uncomfortable at first, but she soon befriends Mari, with whom she participates in athletics. However, her strict mother prefers that she study hard for her entrance exams. One day, Hatsumi runs into 18-year-old Ryutaro, a rebellious, impulsive boy who is no longer in school. They fall in love even though she knows her mother would never approve. However, when Ryutaro cannot get in touch with Hatsumi for a few days, he also has a very dark side.
