Wherever You Are... plot

Nina (Renee Soutendijk), a skilled manager of an international metal factory, falls off the horse during her honeymoon and recovers apparently quickly. When her husband makes love to her, she wakes up the next morning completely disturbed. After a long stay in an institution, she recovers and it seems as if nothing had happened. But when she wants to make love with her husband in the evening, she goes mad again. She returns to the institution and Julian (Julian Sands) goes to Uruguay. Shortly afterwards the Second World War broke out, the Germans occupied Poland and murdered all the mentally retarded. A now remarried Julian takes stock after the liberation.
