Weirdos plot
Nova Scotia, 1976. The US celebrates the 200th anniversary of its Declaration of Independence. 15-year-old Kit is either alone in his room listening to Elton John music or is killing time with his girlfriend Alice. Like Alice, he feels out of place. She lives with divorced parents who have their own problems and eventually she decides to run away with Kit and hitchhike to a new home. As the duo reach their final destination, Kit becomes aware of something that could change his life forever. However, their relationship is put to the test.
