Ruth and Martin have been married for 40 years, but after all this time wonder if it wasn't all a mistake. At the age of 65, Ruth falls in love with another man and Martin also explores new paths. Ruth struggles with whether to file for divorce and confides in her son Daniel. From him, Ruth learns that her husband has had a mistress for twenty years; a girl he helped from the bad path at the time.
