Walking Back plot
Smoke Thatcher plans to borrow his father's car and enjoy a night out with his girl Patsy. But his father, upon discovering that Smoke is behind on his schoolwork, angrily puts his parental foot down. Smoke steals a neighbor's car and gets into a "car fight" with a drunken romantic rival. In need of quick money for repairs, Smoke takes a job as a chauffeur for Beaut Thibaut, unaware that Beaut is a wanted fugitive who plans to use Smoke as a pawn in his next bank robbery.
