Patagonia, 1960. A German doctor meets an Argentine family and follows them on a long road through the desert to Bariloche, where Eva, Enzo and their three children open a lodging house by a lake. This family model awakens the doctor's obsession with cleanliness and perfection, especially through Lilith, a 12-year-old whose body is too small for her age.
