Vert Paradis plot

Love drama about unspoken desires and feelings. Lucas is a young Parisian sociologist working on an article about unmarried men and women in rural France. For his research, he returns to his native region, the Béarn in the Pyrenees. During his interviews, he runs into two childhood friends from his native village, Isabelle and Simon. He learns that they had plans to marry ten years earlier, but an unfortunate misunderstanding and fuss over an old family feud caused their wedding to be called off. Disillusioned, she left for Paris while Simon took over from his deceased father on the farm. Lucas's efforts to bring the two back together do more harm than good.
