Vavilon XX plot
The inhabitants of the Ukrainian village of Vavilon lead a quiet life. Vavilon differs from similar villages in that they have their own philosopher Fabian, always accompanied by his goat. The new post-revolutionary life then also reaches the deeply rooted patriarchal way of life in Vavilon. The inhabitants are faced with a choice: do they side with the Bolsheviks or the side of the Kulaks? A bloody power struggle develops between the collective farm (the kolkhoz) and the wealthy independent farmers.
