Roya is a Muslim and theater actress who struggles to find herself in the vastness of urban Bangladesh. She suffers because her husband wants children and a traditional life. She herself is not interested in motherhood. She decides to recreate a famous and politically minded play for the modern age in order to regain her identity, her freedom and her sexuality in the process.
