U Bent Mijn Moeder plot

The film portrays his mother with dementia and the mother-son relationship. Joop buys a flower, talks about his love for the train and sets off for The Hague. He transfers there and then goes by bus to his mother's home. He visibly talks to an empty bed and then changes into an old woman. He talks, she talks. Joop talks when he plays his mother with broken voice. She asks about the past, repeats, does not know where she is, hardly knows Joop, likes everything when they go for a walk, forgets his visit, does not know where he lives. After the visit he goes back to Amsterdam. Then he is startled when he is called that mother has fallen, she is in the hospital.
