Tsuchi plot
A widower lives in the countryside with his two children and his father-in-law. They rent land, grow rice on it and, depending on the weather, can barely make ends meet. The man and his father-in-law have a tense relationship, which is put under even greater strain when the latter accidentally burns down the family's cottage.
