Traps plot

In 1950, Michael and Louise, an English couple, arrive in French-occupied Indochina to make a report about a rubber plantation. They are guests of the enigmatic plantation overseer and his daughter. Michael and Louise inadvertently become involved in their hosts' personal, sexual, and political tensions.
