Torocco plot
After the death of her husband, Yumiko travels with her two young sons to her Taiwanese in-laws. In this small village, where the older generation under Japanese rule learned to speak Japanese, the family tries to find the bond it has as a family. But the loss of son and husband and the stern personalities of grandfather and daughter-in-law don't make this easy. Meanwhile, the boys Atsushi and Toki try to find a place as 'outsiders' among the children of the village. With their uninhibited childishness they may be able to bring balance to the adults.
