"What happens after the worst thing happens?"
Jamie was barely sixteen when he died of an overdose. He left behind his parents Peg and Robert and his 19-year-old sister Shelly. 25 years later, Shelly is a successful doctor and single mother to her 16-year-old son Noah. She returns to the cottage where Jamie died to help her mother with her health problems. Neither Peg nor Robert have been able to close the dark chapter in their lives and both feel responsible for Jamie's death.
