Things Never Said plot
Kalindra Stepney (Shanola Hampton) is a poet in the making, but inside she's an artist lost. Haunted by delayed dreams, a marriage to Ronnie (Elimu Nelson) and a miscarriage, she desperately searches for an outlet. She finds it with Daphne (Tamala Jones), who also has relationship problems. She finds a new love, Curtis Jackson (Omari Hardwick), with a battered past. Through their forbidden love, Kal helps to heal Curtis' damaged relationship with his estranged daughter. In turn, Curtis inspires Kal to dig deeper, discover her voice, and eventually regain her self-esteem.
