The Tiger's Cub plot

David Summers travels to Alaska in search of his father, falls victim to the elements and is rescued by 'Tiger's Cub', so named because the man who claims her as his daughter uses the pseudonym Tiger. What David didn't know was that a few days before his arrival, Tiger and his partner, Bill Slack, had tricked David's father in a corrupt poker game and then murdered him. After being rescued, David goes home with the girl, whose mother is ill, and the two fall in love. Shortly afterwards, Tiger returns, having promised his daughter to Slack in exchange for half the interest on the mine they hijacked from David's father.
