Leslie Hatten leaves to fight in World War I. Leslie secretly marries the beautiful Rose. After two years, Leslie returns and finds that his marriage has been annulled and that Rose is now married to Lon Henderson. Rose still wants to sleep with Leslie, but he refuses. However, Lon thinks Rose is intimate with Leslie and turns out to be a member of a Ku-Klux-Klan-like order that punishes anyone they suspect is not moral enough.
