The Journey plot

1991, the Soviet Union falls apart and Armenia is on the brink of independence. Eve, 23 years old, moved from Armenia to New York 10 years ago and works as a photographer, although she doesn't like the hustle and bustle in New York at all. She is informed that her childhood friend has been murdered in Armenia and accepts an assignment to photograph the events in the country. There she becomes involved in the independence movement and regains an emotional connection with her homeland.
