"The public and private lives of 5 girls, who start out as student nurses in the National Health service during the 1950's."

Several aspiring nurses receive their training in a large hospital. Novice nurse Pat is more concerned with finding a rich man than nursing the sick. Colleague Susan can't decide between her romance with the doctor or continuing her studies.
