The Ernie Game plot
"The game is life......the rules are Ernie’s."
Ernie Turner is released from a mental hospital. He is also evicted from his apartment. While wandering the streets feeling alienated and indifferent to life, he meets the beautiful Donna. She feels sorry for Ernie, despite him being in a terminal state of confusion. The two get into a relationship. Later, Ernie meets his ex-boyfriend Gail and they resume their romantic relationship. For Ernie, life is a game, but as he moves between the two women, his fragile mental state deteriorates.
