The Blue Veil plot
"Who is the real Mother of this Child? The woman who gave it life... or the woman who gave it love?"
Louise Mason (Jane Wyman) is a young French woman who loses her husband and child in World War I. She then devotes her life to taking care of poor children. Luise sacrifices herself completely and almost perishes under her exhausting life's work. She must eventually be rescued by her own caretakers who have now grown into adults and are grateful for what she has done for them.
