The Berlin Affair plot
"Two women, a man and a madness"
Berlin in the late 1930s, Louise von Hollendorf, the wife of a high-ranking diplomat, spends her days enjoying cocktail parties, tennis and drawing and painting lessons. Her carefree life takes a different turn when she meets Mitsuko, the attractive young daughter of the Japanese ambassador. She begins a passionate love affair with her, but then Mitsuko's boyfriend tries to blackmail them. Meanwhile, Heinz, Louise's husband, is also under the spell of Mitsuko. Mitsuko then tries to play everyone off against each other so that no one knows who she really loves.
