Taurus plot
An up-and-coming, haunted musician seeks inspiration to record one last song. While his assistant tries to keep him on the right track, his colleagues want some speed involved. Meanwhile, his dealer and his ex bring him to the brink of destruction.

Thick and very dramatic film in which Machine Gun Kelly probably plays his most serious role to date. Excellent artist and also a very decent actor. However, Taurus does require some patience. The slowly babbling story is not very original for the average film buff and the outcome is not at all surprising. Must admit that the film managed to touch me in some areas, but that requires some familiarity with the course of the story. Visually it doesn't look bad. Sutton only opts a little too emphatically for dark colors and cluttered cinematography, but in principle it makes little difference in the context of the story. It's certainly not a bad movie. Very raw, very sincere, but it is by no means a masterpiece.
