"I hear you singing in the wire."
April 1989. A teenager living with her father in a town near Mexico City is trying to finish a song her mother wrote before she died. The old synthesizers still work perfectly, and all is well until Violeta accidentally causes a power outage that paralyzes the entire town. This has serious consequences for her and her father.
