Swayamvaram plot

Vishwam and Sita are newly married against the will of their families and therefore leave their hometown. Now they want to start a new life in a new place. Initially they stay in a decent hotel, but due to financial reasons and the lack of a job they soon have to leave, after which they end up in the infamous slums. There they have to deal as neighbors with the elderly lady Janaki and the prostitute Kalyani. When their lives start to look less and less spotless and the financial situation continues to improve, it seems that Sita's jewelry is even in danger.
