Swans plot

Manuel's mother, Petra, lives in Berlin. She is in a coma after chemotherapy. Tarso and Petra divorced when Manuel (17) was 3 years old. Manuel and Tarso come to Germany to be with Petra during her illness. They stay in her old apartment. Every now and then another woman lives there: Kim, a beautiful, enigmatic and distant Asian woman. Tarso regularly visits Petra while Manuel shows no interest in his mother and struggles to spend time under one roof with his estranged father. Meanwhile, he develops an erotic desire for Kim who is in fact a transsexual.
