Splinter plot

Master's student Rosy Looper is in her final semester of internship before becoming a certified school psychologist. Professionally, she's calm and responsible—a perfect role model for a child. Outside of school, she's a motorcycle-riding, pill-popping adventurer. On her first day, Rosy volunteers to take on the case of Ella Bettacourt, a seventh-grader exhibiting mysterious behavior. Rosy fears Ella is being abused at home. To solve the case, she must confront her own traumas and convince Ella to do what she herself could never do: open up.
