Souterrain plot
Maxime is a young resident of the Canadian city of Val-d'Or who works in a gold mine. Several issues in his life will make him question his definition of masculinity. He finds much-needed support through the strong brotherhood that unites all his colleagues in the mine. This helps him overcome a nagging guilt that prevents him from being happy. Until one day an underground explosion takes place. Maxime descends into the mine with the determination to bring each colleague back alive.
