Shell and Joint plot
The story follows several characters in a Japanese capsule hotel. One minute insects are philosophizing about death in a puppet animation, the next a bunch of men are chatting about erections in the sauna. A hotel employee who made several suicide attempts, including jumping into a sea of sharks, blames it all on a bacterium that sent her thoughts.
