The wealthy Joan Morant, from a small town, keeps aloof from the 'common folk'. However, Joan gets excited when the activities of the First World War are also noticeable in her small town. She enlists the help of her congressman uncle, and she gets an assignment abroad. Although Joan loves wealthy Sheik Reggie, she plays with the feelings of local garage owner Tom Pike. She met them both in France.
