Shayda plot
It's 1995. Shayda lives in Australia, somewhere in a secret location in a shelter for women. She fled her native Iran because she wants to determine her own life in complete freedom, and she also wants that for her six-year-old daughter Mona. But her violent husband Hossein does not allow her that freedom and that is why she wants nothing more to do with him. However, a judge decides otherwise and gives him visitation rights.
