Shagird plot
Deputy Inspector Mohit Kumar joins the Delhi Police Crime Department and is ordered to work under the supervision of Senior Police Inspector Hanumant Singh, who lives with his wife and school-aged son, Nikhil. Mohit witnesses Hanumant's family come under fire, especially when the media, including his Aaj Tak reporter and best friend Varsha Mathur, criticize him. Mohit's mind about Hanumant changes when he witnesses the latter breaking the law by accepting bribes and sharing them with other police officers with impunity. Mohit will face career-defining and personal challenges when he decides to oppose politically linked Hanumant, but also when Varsha is kidnapped by Islamist terrorists along with two other journalists.
